If you've lost income due to COVID-19 and need help paying rent, visit https://phlrentassist.org/phase-2/ to fill out an application for rental assistance. You're only eligible if you've lost more than 30% of your income due to reduced hours/wages because of COVID-19, or became unemployed after March 1st. The program is also income based.
•Assistance is limited to $750 per month per household and $4,500 over six months.
•Payments will be made to landlords.
•Landlords must ...agree to the terms of the program and may not displace the household or begin eviction proceedings for at least 60 days from the final month of rental assistance.
The program will run until September 30th or until there is no more funding.

May 12, 2020 at 10 a.m. The deadline to apply is Saturday,
May 16, 2020 at 5 p.m. This is a short window of time and the program is income based.
The 3rd Police District hosted a Community Day at 11th and Wharton Streets on Saturday, September 7th and Whitman Council had a table at the event. We gave out information to about 30 people and had a great time meeting and mingling with our community and local police officers!!!
